Rondinelli's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old power forward Melissa Rondinelli (184-F/C-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for Osorno and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
She had a double-double of 33 points and 15 rebounds, while her team outclassed Pankull (#6, 1-3) with 42-point margin 88-46. Osorno maintains the 4th position in their group in Chilean LNF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Osorno will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Rondinelli had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Osorno, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Western University Canada graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rondinelli is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.7ppg. Rondinelli is in league's top in and averages solid 1.7bpg and 58.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Brandi Beasley (168-G-1997) of top-ranked Gimnastico. She is American guard in her first season at Gimnastico. In the last game Beasley recorded impressive double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Gimnastico cruised to a 88-80 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Leones (#2, 2-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Zona A. Gimnastico consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Beasley is one of the most experienced players at Gimnastico and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.5ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 8.5rpg and 5.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Javiera Novion (170-PG-1987) of league's leader CDSC. Novion showcased her all-around game by recording 28 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in the last round. She was a key player of CDSC, leading her team to a 102-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Brisas (#5, 1-3). CDSC started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game in Zona B. Novion turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Novion has a great season in Chile. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.0ppg (4th best) and assists with 5.0apg (8th best).
