New Crusaders - Llolleo 83-48 No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked New Crusaders (3-4) crushed bottom-ranked Llolleo (0-7) in Valparaiso 83-48 on Saturday. New Crusaders dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Llolleo's 26. New Crusaders forced 28 Llolleo turnovers and outrebounded them 62-40 including a 22-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Llolleo's players. It was an exceptional evening for Cuban Arleny Gonzalez (185-1987) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Maria Ballero (-2001) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four New Crusaders players scored in double figures. Center Valeria Aguilera (-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Ingrid Carrasco (-1992) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Llolleo in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Puente Alto (7-3) crushed visiting Luis ML (1-7) by 21 points 73-52. Puente Alto forced 26 Luis ML turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for Argentinian power forward Camila Peri (182-2000) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Marisol Gamboa (178-1985) helped adding 11 points and 7 rebounds. Daniela Orellana (-1998) responded with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international center Daniela Alcaino (180-1992) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds.
