Chilean Cup round 11 best performance: Felipe Acuna

Shooting guard Felipe Acuna (182-SG-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for CD Liceo Pablo Neruda, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Espanol T. (#7, 0-12) with 20-point margin 100-80. Liceo PN maintains the 6th position in their group in Chilean CUP. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Acuna had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Liceo PN and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Felipe Acuna averages this season 12.7ppg and 7.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Yahuza Rasas (201-F-1999) of Club Deportes Castro. Rasas had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Castro lost that game 75-81 to slightly higher-ranked Puerto Varas (#5, 6-6). This loss caused Castro to drop to 7th position in Group South. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Castro managed to get this year. Rasas is a newcomer at Castro, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#7). He also registered 15.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Carlos Lauler (190-SG) of CD Espanol Osorno (#3). Lauler showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Espanol, leading his team to a 78-71 win against #2 ranked Valdivia in a game of the week. Espanol needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group South. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 4 lost games. Lauler has a very solid season. In 12 games in Chile he scored 16.1ppg. He also has 6.1rpg, 4.0apg and FGP: 54.8%.
