Chilean LNB round 3 best performance: Rakim Brown

American Shooting guard Rakim Brown (198-SG-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Deportes Las Animas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Castro (#12, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 75-61. Thanks to this victory Las Animas moved-up to the 4th position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Las Animas will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Las Animas' top player in his first season with the team. Former Humboldt State University star has very solid stats this year. Brown is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.0ppg. Brown is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.3rpg) and averages impressive 51.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Domont'a Wright (202-F/C-1999) of CD Liceo Pablo Neruda. Wright had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 25 rebounds. It was enough for Liceo PN to edge Catolica (0-3) 86-82. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Wright is a newcomer at Liceo PN, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Justin Jackson (203-PF-1990, agency: AG Sports Solutions) of Club Deportes Castro (#12). Jackson scored 18 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). Despite Jackson's great performance the Castro lost 61-75 to Las Animas (#4, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Castro can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Jackson has individually a great season in Chile. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.0ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 14.7rpg (2nd best).
