American Power forward Domont'a Wright (202-F/C-1999) had a great game in the last round for CD Liceo Pablo Neruda, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Espanol T. (#12, 2-6) 77-74. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Liceo PN is placed at 10th position in Chilean LNB. Liceo PN is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-6 record. Wright turned to be Liceo PN's top player in his first season with the team. Former Cleveland State Community College star has very solid stats this year. Wright leads league in rebounds with 15.2rpg. Wright is in league's top in and averages impressive 1.9bpg and 56.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Dwayne Russell (203-F-1998) of Club Deportivo Valdivia. Russell had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Valdivia was edged by the lower-ranked Espanol T. (#12, 2-6) 94-92. Valdivia managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Russell is a newcomer at Valdivia, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Colombian guard Alvaro Pena (197-SG-1995, agency: Starting 5) of CD Universidad Catolica de Santiago (#14). Pena showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Pena's great performance the Catolica lost 70-79 to the higher-ranked Las Animas (#6, 6-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Catolica can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-8 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Pena has individually a great season in Chile. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.2ppg (6th best).
