Johnson's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old American center Roquez Johnson (201-C-1992, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for CD Universidad de Concepcion and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Sportiva Italiana (#10, 4-8) 78-73. Concepcion maintains the 5th position in Chilean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Concepcion will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Concepcion's top player in his first season with the team. Roquez Johnson averages this season 22.5ppg and 9.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Santiago Serna (203-F/C-2001) of Club Deportes Espanol de Talca. He is Colombian forward in his first season at Espanol T.. In the last game Serna recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Espanol to edge the higher-ranked Sportiva Italiana (#10, 4-8) by 6 points 88-82. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Espanol keeps 13th position. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Espanol managed to get this year. Serna is a newcomer at Espanol and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Alvaro Pena (197-SG-1995, agency: Starting 5) of CD Universidad Catolica de Santiago (#11). Pena showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Catolica, leading his team to a 81-66 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Puerto Montt (#12, 4-11). Catolica can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Pena has individually a great season in Chile. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (7th best).
