Jose Collao claims Chilean LNB 2 Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced International Jose Collao (194-SF-1987) had an amazing evening in the last round for Colo Colo Santiago and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 36-year old had the game-high 16 points adding four rebounds for Colo Colo in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Stadio Italiano (#11, 0-1) with 16-point margin 82-66. Thanks to this victory Colo Colo moved-up to the 3rd position in Chilean LNB 2. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Colo Colo won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Collao turned to be Colo Colo's top player in his first season with the team. Collao has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.0ppg) and averages solid 85.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was forward Nicolas Vargas (F) of second-ranked Arabe de Valparaiso. Vargas impressed basketball fans with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Arabe de Valp. to edge Truenos (0-1) by 4 points 78-74. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Vargas is well-known by Arabe de Valp. fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#1). He also registered 6.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Carlos Gonzalez (1988) of CD Arturo Prat San Felipe (#8). Gonzalez scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Gonzalez's great performance the Arturo Prat lost 51-74 to Quilpue (#5, 1-0). The season just started for Gonzalez as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
