Chilean LNB round 14 best performance: Roquez Johnson

American Center Roquez Johnson (201-C-1992, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for CD Universidad de Concepcion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, seven rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Los Leones (#2, 14-3) 88-84. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Concepcion maintains the 4th position in Chilean LNB. They are still close to the very top. Concepcion would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 13-3 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Concepcion's top player in his first season with the team. Former Mississippi State University star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.7ppg. Johnson is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 62.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Stan Scott (193-G-1998) of CEB Puerto Montt. Scott had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Puerto Montt lost that game 73-82 to the higher-ranked Las Animas (#5, 12-7). Puerto Montt is still second from the bottom in the standings. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Puerto Montt managed to get this year. Scott is a newcomer at Puerto Montt, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Colombian forward Santiago Serna (203-F/C-2001) of Club Deportes Espanol de Talca (#14). Serna scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Serna's great performance the Espanol lost 68-85 to the higher-ranked Catolica (#10, 6-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Espanol can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-13 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Serna has a very solid season. In 11 games in Chile he scored 16.1ppg. He also has 7.8rpg and a FGP of 52.7%.
