Chilean LNB 2 round 3 best performance: Hilario Sanchez (by Hoops Agents)

Hilario Sanchez (1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Quilpue Basquetbol, receiving a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Stadio Italiano (#7, 2-2) 70-56. Quilpue is placed at 4th position in Chilean LNB 2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Quilpue will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Sanchez had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Quilpue, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Hilario Sanchez has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.8ppg. Sanchez is in league's top in and averages impressive 62.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Yves Orelus (F-2002) of C.D. Boston College Santiago. Orelus had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Boston College was edged by Sergio Ceppi (3-1) 78-76. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Orelus is well-known at Boston College and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Nick Morales (187-F-1985) of Truenos de Talca (#8). Morales showcased his all-around game by recording 13 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Truenos, leading his team to a 76-58 easy win against Municipal C. (#12, 0-4). The chances of Truenos not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Morales could try to bring Truenos' a little bit higher in the standings. Morales has individually a great season in Chile. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 10.7ppg (9th best), rebounds with 7.7rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.7apg (5th best).
