Benjamin Cabello claims Chilean LNB 2 weekly honour

Benjamin Cabello (G-1999) had a great game in the last round for CD Municipal Chillan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 24-year old guard got a double-double of 38 points and 10 assists, while his team edged out Arturo Prat (#11, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 83-81. Municipal C. is placed at 8th position in Chilean LNB 2. Municipal C. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Cabello had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Municipal C., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Cabello has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 5.0apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Luis Marrero (2005) of second-ranked CD Sergio Ceppi. Marrero impressed basketball fans with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Of course Sergio Ceppi cruised to a 85-73 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Truenos (#10, 1-3). This victory allowed Sergio Ceppi to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Marrero is well-known by Sergio Ceppi fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Gabriel Soto (G) of C.D. Boston College Santiago (#9). Soto showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Boston College, leading his team to a 76-59 easy win against the higher-ranked Quilpue (#4, 3-2). Boston College can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Soto has a very solid season. In 3 games in Chile he scored 9.0ppg.
