International Center Tatiana Gomez (192-C-1981) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked CD Esc. Alemana Paillaco, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 42-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Puerto Montt (#5, 0-1) with 48-point margin 92-44. It allowed Alemana to take over top position in the Chilean LNF. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Alemana won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Gomez just recently signed at Alemana and it was her first game, where she immediately became new team's leader. Tatiana Gomez has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 27.0ppg) and averages impressive 3.0bpg,5.0spg and 54.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Mexican Myriam Lara (188-F/C-1994) of CD Universitario Concepcion. Lara had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds. Of course she led Univ.Concepcion to another comfortable win 81-65 over UCSC (0-2) being unquestionably team leader. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Lara is one of the most experienced players at Univ.Concepcion and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 31.0ppg (#2). She also registered 15.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Alemana P.'s star - Argentinian guard Candela Foresto (163-G-1999). Foresto scored 17 points and passed 12 assists (!!!). She was another key player of CD Esc. Alemana Paillaco, helping her team with a 92-44 easy win against Puerto Montt (#5, 0-1). Alemana has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Foresto also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Foresto as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
