The game in Valdivia was quite interesting. Second ranked Ancud (20-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Las Animas (14-10). Ancud managed to secure a 8-point victory 83-75 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Las Animas. The former international power forward Juan Fontena (196-1987) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Franco Morales (181-1992) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. American Rakim Brown (198-1991, college: Humboldt St.) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Ancud maintains second position with 20-4 record behind leader Los Leones. Las Animas at the other side keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Ancud are looking forward to face Espanol (#13) in Talca in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Las Animas will play on the road against Puente Alto (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Espanol have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Concepcion. Castro at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost.
