Nick Morales claims Chilean LNB 2 weekly honour

Experienced Nick Morales (187-F-1985) put on an amazing game in the last round for Truenos de Talca and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 38-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Boston College (#8, 4-4) 70-58. Truenos maintains the 10th position in Chilean LNB 2. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 5 games and had just two victories. In the team's last game Morales had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Truenos, through which he has constantly improved. Morales has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.1rpg) and assists (7th best: 4.0apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Vicente Schulz (F-2002) of C.D. Boston College Santiago. Schulz impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Boston College to another comfortable win 70-52 over slightly lower-ranked Municipal C. (#9, 3-5) being unquestionably team leader. Despite this victory Boston College slide down in the standings to 8th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Schulz is one of the most experienced players at Boston College and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Sascha Frings (202-F/C-1986) of CD Brisas de la Cisterna (#12). Frings got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Frings' great performance the Brisas lost 87-88 to the higher-ranked Aleman (#4, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Brisas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 7 games. Frings has individually a great season in Chile. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (6th best).

9. Franco Garrido (181-SF) of Luis Matte - 6 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Yves Orelus (F-2002) of Boston College - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
