Chilean LNB round 23 best performance: Rashad Hassan (by Hoops Agents)

American Rashad Hassan (203-C/F-1989) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for CD Espanol Osorno, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Sportiva Italiana (#9, 10-16) 100-85. Espanol maintains the 3rd position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Espanol will need more victories to improve their 20-6 record. In the team's last game Hassan had a remarkable 85.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Espanol's top player in his first season with the team. Rashad Hassan averages this season 14.9ppg and 5.9rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian Santiago Serna (203-F/C-2001) of Club Deportes Espanol de Talca. Serna had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Espanol to edge the higher-ranked Castro (#8, 10-15) 76-75. Espanol's 12th position in the standings has not changed. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Espanol managed to get this year. Serna is a newcomer at Espanol, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Xavier Gibson (210-F/C-1988) of league's second-best Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud. Gibson scored 27 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of Ancud, leading his team to a 87-82 win against the lower-ranked Espanol T. (#12, 6-19). Ancud is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 21-5 record is not that bad... Gibson has a very solid season. In 26 games in Chile he scored 13.2ppg. He also has 7.8rpg, 1.5bpg and a FGP of 53.0%.

10. Arnold Louis (201-C-1990) of Espanol O. - 26 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
