Galvez's 23 points and 6 rebounds give him Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award

Shooting guard Ramiro Galvez (SG) had a great game in the last round for Club Stadio Italiano de Santiago and receives a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 23 points adding six rebounds for Stadio Italiano in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Arabe de Valp. (#4, 5-3) with 40-point margin 96-56. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Stadio Italiano maintains the 3rd position in Chilean LNB 2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Stadio Italiano will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. In the team's last game Galvez had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He has many years of experience at Stadio Italiano, through which he has constantly improved. Ramiro Galvez averages this season 10.6ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Matias Villagran (199-C) of CD Municipal Chillan. He is a center in his second season at Municipal C.. In the last game Villagran recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Municipal C. lost that game 72-82 to league's leader Colo Colo (#1, 10-0). Municipal C. is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Villagran is well-known at Municipal C. and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Eduardo Marechal (186-SG-1985) of CD Aleman Concepcion (#5). Marechal showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Marechal's great performance the Aleman lost 83-95 to the league's current leader Colo Colo (#1, 10-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Aleman needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Marechal has a great season in Chile. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.3apg (5th best). He also has 2.1spg and and 3PT: 41.8%.
