Forward Martin Morales (F) had an amazing evening in the last round for Truenos de Talca, receiving a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 11.
The player had a double-double of 26 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Arabe de Valp. (#8, 5-6) 57-43. Truenos is placed at 3rd position in Chilean LNB 2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Truenos will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. In the team's last game Morales had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Truenos and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Martin Morales has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 11.7ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.2rpg), assists (8th best: 1.6apg) and averages impressive 57.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Fred Pierre (1990) of CD Arturo Prat San Felipe. Pierre had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Arturo Prat cruised to a 93-81 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Quilpue (#9, 5-6). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Arturo Prat is still at the dead bottom 12th position. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Arturo Prat managed to get this year. Pierre is one of the most experienced players at Arturo Prat and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Hilario Sanchez (1999) of Quilpue Basquetbol (#9). Sanchez showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Sanchez's great performance the Quilpue lost 81-93 to the lower-ranked Arturo Prat (#12, 1-11). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Quilpue ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Sanchez could help Quilpue to bring them higher in the standings. Sanchez has a great season in Chile. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (best scorer). He also has 2.1spg and a FGP of 54.7%.
