Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game of round 8 in the LNF took place in Temuco. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked Frontera (3-4) to second ranked Univ.Concepcion (6-2) 57-55 on Sunday evening. Univ.Concepcion forced 22 Frontera turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Stephanie Madden (186-1988, college: Langston) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Barbara Cousino (178-1996) who added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The former international forward Daniela Troncoso (178-1987) responded with 19 points. Univ.Concepcion have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-2 record behind leader CDSC, which they share with Sportiva Ita. Frontera at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Santiago: CDSC (#1) and Sergio Ceppi (#4). Sergio Ceppi was smashed at home by 42 points 40-82 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The winners were led by the former international guard Fernanda Ovalle (178-2003, college: Xavier) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Catalina Abuyeres supported her with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 0 points and 8 rebounds by Karla Vargas (-2000) did not help to save the game for Sergio Ceppi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated CDSC (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row, which they share with Alemana. Sergio Ceppi at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Santiago: CDSC (#1) and Sergio Ceppi (#4). CDSC (7-0) smashed visiting Sergio Ceppi (4-5) by 22 points 73-51. The best player for the winners was Fernanda Ovalle who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Pia Henriquez produced 11 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated CDSC have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record, which they share with Alemana. Loser Sergio Ceppi keeps the fourth place with five games lost.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 8: winless Gimnastico was destroyed by Leones on the opponent's court 90-46. Puente Alto lost to defending champion Sportiva Ita. in a home game 65-76. Winless Puerto Montt was rolled over Espanol on the road 50-82.
