Galvez's 26 points give him LNB 2 Player of the Week award

Shooting guard Ramiro Galvez (SG) put on an amazing game in the last round for Club Stadio Italiano de Santiago and receives a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had the game-high 26 points adding three rebounds and four assists for Stadio Italiano in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Arturo Prat (#12, 2-16) with 50-point margin 97-47. Stadio Italiano is placed at 3rd position in Chilean LNB 2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Stadio Italiano will need more victories to improve their 11-7 record. In the team's last game Galvez had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He has many years of experience at Stadio Italiano, through which he has constantly improved. Ramiro Galvez averages this season 12.3ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Sebastian Pereira (203-C-2005) of CD Aleman Concepcion. He is a center in his first (recently joined) season at Aleman. In the last game Pereira recorded an impressive double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Aleman to edge the lower-ranked Brisas (#11, 4-13) by 4 points 74-70. Aleman's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Pereira is one of the most experienced players at Aleman and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.1ppg (#7). He also registered 8.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Luis Marrero (2005) of league's second-best CD Sergio Ceppi. Marrero showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sergio Ceppi, leading his team to a 80-57 easy win against the lower-ranked Luis Matte (#10, 6-11). Sergio Ceppi needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 7 lost games. Marrero has a very solid season. In 19 games in Chile he scored 10.6ppg. He also has 8.1rpg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 53.0%.
