Alemana players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American center Alexus Johnson (197-1994, college: Texas Southern) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-1981) chipped in 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Alemana P.'s coach Mario Negron allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Catalina Ramirez (-2003) responded with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Constanza Cardenas (-1998) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Sportiva Ita. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Sergio Ceppi's 22. Sportiva Ita. forced 20 Sergio Ceppi turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Colombian forward Yuliany Paz (195-2000) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Colombian guard Manuela Rios (165-1997) supported her with 10 points and 4 assists. Four Sportiva Ita. players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 9 rebounds by center Katalina Garcia (182-1994) did not help to save the game for Sergio Ceppi. Forward Pia Henriquez (-2003) added 6 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Four Univ.Concepcion players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by Barbara Hauschild (-1989) did not help to save the game for Espanol. Argentinian Anahi Albornoz (-1998) added 6 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
