Los Leones outrebounded Espanol 40-22 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jerry Evans (203-1990, college: Nevada) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Los Leones' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Austin Wrighten (192-1996, college: Lynchburg) replied with 23 points and point guard Hector Gomez (188-1987) added 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Espanol.
