Boston College was defeated at home 68-75 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Cristian Urrutia (-1999) notched 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Jose Collao supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by Argentinian swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) did not help to save the game for Boston College. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Colo Colo (18-0) have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 18 victories in a row. Boston College lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost. Colo Colo will play against Aleman (#5) in Puerto Varas in the next round. Boston College will play on the road against Arturo Prat in San Felipe and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in (derby !!!) between Luis Matte and Aleman. Tenth ranked Luis Matte (7-11) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Aleman (11-8). Luis Matte managed to escape with a 1-point win 90-89 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aleman. The best player for the winners was Angel Galaviz who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Eduardo Marechal who recorded 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Luis Matte maintains tenth position with 7-11 record. Loser Aleman keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Luis Matte will meet league's second-placed Stadio Italiano in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Aleman will play against the league's leader Colo Colo where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
In the last two games of round 18 Truenos destroyed Arturo Prat on the opponent's court 112-69. Brisas were outscored by Stadio Italiano in a home game 45-64.
