Ramon Gatica claims Chilean LNB 2 Hoops Agents weekly honour

Ramon Gatica (185-G-1996) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Club Stadio Italiano de Santiago and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 28-year old guard had the game-high 28 points adding five rebounds for Stadio Italiano in his team's victory, helping them to beat Arabe de Valp. (#9, 7-12) 79-68. Stadio Italiano maintains the 2nd position in Chilean LNB 2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Stadio Italiano will need more victories to improve their 14-7 record. In the team's last game Gatica had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Stadio Italiano, through which he has constantly improved. Gatica has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (8th best: 3.7apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Hilario Sanchez (1999) of Quilpue Basquetbol. Sanchez impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Quilpue cruised to a 66-55 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Luis Matte (#10, 7-13). Quilpue's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-11 record. Sanchez is one of the most experienced players at Quilpue and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.2ppg (#1). He also registered 6.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Cristian Urrutia (1999) of top-ranked Colo Colo Santiago. Urrutia scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Colo Colo, leading his team to a 81-72 win against the lower-ranked Aleman (#5, 11-9). Colo Colo have amazing season winning all 21 games without a single defeat. Urrutia turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Urrutia has a very solid season. In 20 games in Chile he scored 9.9ppg.
