This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Quilpue (10-12) to fifth ranked Aleman (13-9) 69-66 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Quilpue. Center Sebastian Pereira (203-2005) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international Eduardo Marechal (186-1985) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Jose Toledo (-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for Quilpue. Aleman moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sergio Ceppi. Quilpue at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Santiago: Colo Colo (#1) and Sergio Ceppi (#4). Colo Colo (22-0) won against visiting Sergio Ceppi (13-9) 68-60. The winners were led by Jorge Schuler who scored that evening 13 points. Even 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Boris Guerra did not help to save the game for Sergio Ceppi. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Colo Colo have an impressive 22-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-0 record. Loser Sergio Ceppi keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Aleman.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 20: bottom-ranked Arturo Prat was beaten by Brisas on the road 80-68. Luis Matte lost to Truenos on its own court 79-86. Aleman managed to outperform Arabe de Valp. in Puerto Varas 66-61. Boston College recorded a loss to Brisas at home 65-77. Luis Matte defeated Arturo Prat on the opponent's court 97-89. Arabe de Valp. beat Municipal C. in a home game 70-65.




Brisas - Arturo Prat 80-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Brisas' (6-15) home victory over bottom-ranked Arturo Prat (2-20) in Santiago 80-68 on Saturday. Brisas forced 33 Arturo Prat turnovers. The winners were led by power forward Sascha Frings (202-1986) who scored that evening 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Christopher Valdes supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
