Colegio Los Leones Quilpe (LNF) landed 29-year old Venezuelan international 179cm small forward Daniela Morillo-Wallen (college: Okla City). Morillo-Wallen has played for the last five years at Keflavik in Icelandic Subway League. In 37 games she averaged impressive 15.5ppg, 11.8rpg (#5 in the league), 4.9apg and 2.9spg (in top 4) last season. She helped them to win the League title and the cup. It was a very successful season in her career as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Finals MVP.
Morillo-Wallen has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2013 and previously for U16 National Team back in 2011.
Morillo-Wallen represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Medellin (Colombia) last year. Her stats at that event were 3 games: Score-2(18.0ppg), 6.7rpg, 2.3apg, Steals-1(3.0spg), FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 64.7%.
She is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life on four different continents. Morillo-Wallen is familiar with European, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. She has played previously professionally in Australia (United), Finland (Peli Karhut), Paraguay (Sol de America Asuncion) and Sweden (IK Eos).
Morillo-Wallen graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2017 and it will be her eighth season in pro basketball. She played also for Independence Community College for one year.
