Chilean LNF round 2 best performance: Sydni Tears

American Guard Sydni Tears (183-G) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked CD Universitario Concepcion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The player had a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Espanol (#5, 0-3) with 16-point margin 76-60. Univ.Concepcion is placed at 2nd position in Chilean LNF. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Univ.Concepcion won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Tears had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Univ.Concepcion's top player in her first season with the team. Former Talladega College star has very solid stats this year. Tears is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.5ppg. Tears is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.5spg and 66.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Venezuelan Daniela Morillo-Wallen (179-SF-1995) of league's second-best Colegio Los Leones Quilpe. Morillo-Wallen had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she led Los Leones to another comfortable win outscoring Sergio Ceppi (0-2) 73-48. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Morillo-Wallen is a newcomer at Los Leones, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Constanza Cardenas (185-F-1998) of league's top team Universitares De la Frontera Temuco. Cardenas scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Frontera, leading her team to a 71-26 easy win against #4 ranked Puerto Montt in a game of the week. Frontera has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Cardenas also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Cardenas has a great season in Chile. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.5rpg (9th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
