Chilean LNB round 12 best performance: Jaron Williams (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Jaron Williams (198-F-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for CD Espanol Osorno, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Valdivia (#11, 2-13) 86-81. Espanol maintains the 3rd position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Espanol will need more victories to improve their 11-4 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 76.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Espanol's top player in his first season with the team. Jaron Williams averages this season 16.2ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Rashad Hassan (203-C/F-1989) of Club Deportes Las Animas. Hassan had a very good evening with a double-double of 40 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Las Animas lost that game 101-110 to the higher-ranked Univ.Concepcion (#2, 12-3). Las Animas is still second from the bottom in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Las Animas managed to get this year. Hassan is a newcomer at Las Animas, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.5ppg (#3). He also registered 10.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Las Animas' star - American forward Alphonso Anderson (198-F-1997). Anderson scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Anderson's great performance the Club Deportes Las Animas lost 101-110 to the higher-ranked Univ.Concepcion (#2, 12-3). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Las Animas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Anderson has a very solid season. In 3 games in Chile he scored 31.3ppg.

9. Gaspar Hernandez (SG-1999) of Sportiva Italiana - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Randy Rickards (201-F-2000) of Univ.Catolica - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
