American Andrew Corum (201-F-1997) had a great game in the last round for Club Deportes Puerto Varas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Valdivia (#11, 2-13) 83-74. Puerto Varas maintains the 5th position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Puerto Varas will need more victories to improve their 9-6 record. In the team's last game Corum had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Puerto Varas' top player in his first season with the team. Virginia State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Corum is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.4rpg) and averages solid 58.7% FGP and 46.6% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Richard Granberry (203-F-1993) of Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud. Granberry impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course Ancud cruised to a 95-83 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Las Animas (#10, 4-11). Ancud's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-8 record. Granberry is one of the most experienced players at Ancud and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was international forward Ignacio Carrion (201-F-1993) of top-ranked Colegio Los Leones de Quilpue. Carrion showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Los Leones, leading his team to a 84-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Univ.Catolica (#9, 5-10). Many experts and fans count Los Leones as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 12 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Carrion has a very solid season. In 13 games in Chile he scored 14.0ppg. He also has 5.7rpg and a FGP of 65.1%.
