McKinney's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old American swingman Dennis McKinney (194-G/F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Colo Colo Santiago and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Las Animas (#10, 5-12) 77-75. Colo Colo maintains the 6th position in Chilean league. Colo Colo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-8 record. In the team's last game McKinney had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Colo Colo's top player in his first season with the team. Mount Mercy University graduate has very impressive stats this year. McKinney is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.8ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Justin Strings (201-F-1996) of Club Deportes Puente Alto. He is American forward in his first season at Puente Alto. In the last game Strings recorded an impressive 27 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Puente Alto lost that game 81-104 to the higher-ranked Univ.Concepcion (#2, 14-3). This loss caused Puente Alto to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-9 record. Strings is a newcomer at Puente Alto and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#6). He also registered 8.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Randy Rickards (201-F-2000) of CD Universidad Catolica de Santiago (#9). Rickards scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Univ.Catolica, leading his team to a 75-70 win against slightly lower-ranked Valdivia (#11, 2-15). The chances of Univ.Catolica not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Rickards could try to bring Univ.Catolica's a little bit higher in the standings. Rickards has individually a great season in Chile. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.4ppg (8th best).
