Lowery's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old American center Dishon Lowery (200-C-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Deportivo Valdivia and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Univ.Catolica (#10, 7-13) 79-66. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Valdivia maintains the 11th position in Chilean league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 17 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Lowery had a remarkable 73.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Valdivia's top player in his first season with the team. Oklahoma Baptist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Lowery is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 54.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Stephen Maxwell (201-F-1993) of top-ranked CD Universidad de Concepcion. He is American forward in his first season at Univ.Concepcion. In the last game Maxwell recorded an impressive 31 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Univ.Concepcion to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Puente Alto (#8, 9-11) 114-82. Of course Univ.Concepcion still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just three games this season, while they won 17 matches. Maxwell is a newcomer at Univ.Concepcion and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#1). He also registered 7.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-F-1992) of Club Deportes Puente Alto (#8). Ocasio showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Ocasio's great performance the Puente Alto lost 82-114 to the higher-ranked Univ.Concepcion (#1, 17-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Puente Alto ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ocasio could help Puente Alto to bring them higher in the standings. Ocasio has a great season in Chile. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (9th best).
