Carrasco's 25 points and 6 assists give him Player of the Week award

41-year old guard Erik Carrasco (181-G-1983) had an amazing evening in the last round for Club Deportivo Valdivia and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had the game-high 25 points adding five rebounds and six assists for Valdivia in his team's victory, helping them to beat Univ.Concepcion (#2, 19-4) 88-79. Valdivia maintains the 11th position in Chilean league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 17 games and recorded just five victories. In the team's last game Carrasco had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Valdivia and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Carrasco has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 6.4apg) and averages solid 53.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Devante Wallace (196-SG-1992, agency: BIG) of Sportiva Italiana Valparaiso. He is American guard in his first season at Sportiva Italiana. In the last game Wallace recorded an impressive 39 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Sportiva Italiana lost that game 84-90 to the higher-ranked Los Leones (#1, 20-2). Sportiva Italiana managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 14-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Wallace is a newcomer at Sportiva Italiana and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#4). He also registered 6.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Dennis McKinney (194-G/F-1998) of Colo Colo Santiago (#6). McKinney showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite McKinney's great performance the Colo Colo lost 79-81 to the higher-ranked Los Leones (#1, 20-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Colo Colo ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, McKinney could help Colo Colo to bring them higher in the standings. McKinney has a great season in Chile. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.1ppg (3rd best).
