Jonathan Ocasio claims Chilean LNB Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American-Puerto Rican Jonathan Ocasio (196-F-1992) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Deportes Puente Alto and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 32-year old forward had the game-high 30 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Puente Alto in his team's victory, helping them to crush Colo Colo (#8, 10-14) with 20-point margin 97-77. Puente Alto is placed at 6th position in Chilean LNB. Puente Alto is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-13 record. In the team's last game Ocasio had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Puente Alto's top player in his first season with the team. New Haven University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ocasio is in league's top in points (9th best: 18.8ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Dishon Lowery (200-C-1998) of Club Deportivo Valdivia. Lowery impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Valdivia lost that game 66-94 to the higher-ranked Espanol O. (#3, 18-7). Valdivia is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 20 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Valdivia managed to get this year. Lowery is a newcomer at Valdivia and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Dennis McKinney (194-G/F-1998) of Colo Colo Santiago (#8). McKinney showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite McKinney's great performance the Colo Colo lost 77-97 to slightly higher-ranked Puente Alto (#6, 11-13). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Colo Colo ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 14 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, McKinney could help Colo Colo to bring them higher in the standings. McKinney has a great season in Chile. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.9ppg (3rd best).
