Hassan's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

35-year old American Rashad Hassan (203-C/F-1989) had a great game in the last round for Club Deportes Las Animas and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Valdivia (#11, 5-21) 74-61. Las Animas is placed at 8th position in Chilean league. Las Animas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-15 record. Hassan turned to be Las Animas' top player in his first season with the team. Savannah State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hassan is in league's top in points (4th best: 21.3ppg) and averages solid 62.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Randy Rickards (201-F-2000) of CD Universidad Catolica de Santiago. He is American forward in his first season at Univ.Catolica. In the last game Rickards recorded an impressive 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Univ.Catolica lost that game 72-79 to the higher-ranked Puente Alto (#6, 12-14). Univ.Catolica is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-17 record. Rickards is a newcomer at Univ.Catolica and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Las Animas' star - forward Alphonso Anderson (198-F-1997). Anderson scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of Club Deportes Las Animas, helping his team with a 74-61 easy win against the lower-ranked Valdivia (#11, 5-21). The chances of Las Animas ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Anderson could help Las Animas to bring them higher in the standings. Anderson has a great season in Chile. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.9ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 9.8rpg (3rd best).
