Chilean LNB round 25 best performance: Alphonso Anderson (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Alphonso Anderson (198-F-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Deportes Las Animas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 47 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Ancud (#9, 10-16) 104-96. Las Animas is placed at 8th position in Chilean LNB. Las Animas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-15 record. In the team's last game Anderson had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Las Animas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of Pacific star has very solid stats this year. Anderson is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.9ppg. Anderson is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 9.8rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was young American Dennis McKinney (194-G/F-1998) of Colo Colo Santiago. McKinney had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Colo Colo to another comfortable win 103-87 over the lower-ranked Espanol T. (#12, 2-24) being unquestionably team leader. Colo Colo's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-14 record. McKinney is a newcomer at Colo Colo, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#3). He also registered 7.2 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Franco Morales (181-PG-1992) of Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud (#9). Morales got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds and six assists. Despite Morales' great performance the Ancud lost 96-104 to slightly higher-ranked Las Animas (#8, 11-15). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Ancud not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 16 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Morales could try to bring Ancud's a little bit higher in the standings. Morales has individually a great season in Chile. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.0apg (4th best).
