Hilario Sanchez produced 22 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: winless Luis Matte lost to undefeated Boston College on the opponent's court 65-73. Winless Liceo Curico lost to undefeated Truenos in a home game 53-65. Winless Temuco lost to undefeated Puerto Montt on the road 72-94. Winless Tinguiririca lost to undefeated Municipal C. on its own court 65-71.
