Ancud lands Richard Amardi

Richard Amardi

Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud (LNB) landed experienced 34-year old Canadian ex-international 206cm forward Richard Amardi (college: Oregon, agency: BIG). He played recently at Al Khaleej in Saudi Arabian Division 1. In 17 games he averaged impressive 20.4ppg, 13.0rpg, 1.8apg and 2.0spg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Second Team. The last season summer he played at Marinos de Oriente (SPB) in Venezuelan league. Amardi also played for another Venezuelan team Frontinos Del Tachira (SPB) in Venezuela. He was a member of Canadian Senior National Team back in 2017.
Amardi is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. Amardi has played previously professionally in Brazil (Pinheiros), Bulgaria (Levski and Yambol), Greece (Charilaos), Mexico (Dorados), Slovakia (Spisski Rytieri), Venezuela, Libya (Al Ahly Tripoli), Canada (Moncton Magic, London Lightning, Windsor Express and River Lions) and NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in Mexican LNBP East Division in 2021. He was selected to USBasket.com NBL Canada All-Domestic Players Team back in 2017.
Amardi graduated from University of Oregon in 2014 and it is his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball. He played also for Weatherford College for one year.
