Joshua Morris claims Chilean LNB Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Joshua Morris (203-F-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for Club Deportes Puerto Varas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed Colo Colo (#6, 12-15) with 17-point margin 97-80. Puerto Varas maintains the 4th position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Puerto Varas will need more victories to improve their 18-10 record. Morris turned to be Puerto Varas' top player in his first season with the team. University of Texas Permian Basin graduate has very impressive stats this year. Morris is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 8.5rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 59.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian shooting guard Nahuel Martinez (188-SG-1995) of Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud. Martinez impressed basketball fans with 36 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Ancud to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Puente Alto (#7, 12-16) 97-77. This victory allowed Ancud to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-16 record. Martinez is a newcomer at Ancud and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Rodney Simon (206-C-1997, agency: Gulf Coast Hoops) of Club Deportes Espanol de Talca (#12). Simon showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 18 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Espanol, leading his team to a 95-84 win against slightly higher-ranked Valdivia (#11, 5-22). Espanol can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-24 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Simon has individually a great season in Chile. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.8rpg (7th best).

9. Sebastian Carrasco (180-PG-2000) of Univ.Concepcion - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Federico Herrera (200-F/C-1993) of Sportiva Italiana - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
