Anderson's 38-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old American forward Alphonso Anderson (198-F-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Club Deportes Las Animas and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 27.
He had the game-high 38 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Las Animas as his team lost the game against Los Leones (#1, 26-3) 86-95. Las Animas maintains the 9th position in Chilean league. Las Animas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 17th lost game this season out of 29 games. In the team's last game Anderson had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He just recently signed at Las Animas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Pacific graduate has very impressive stats this year. Anderson is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.4ppg. Anderson is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.3rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Darrol Jones (193-F-1994) of top-ranked Colegio Los Leones de Quilpue. He is international forward in his 10th season at Los Leones. In the last game Jones recorded an impressive 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course Los Leones cruised to a 95-86 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Las Animas (#9, 12-17). Of course Los Leones still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just three games this season, while they won 26 matches. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Los Leones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Andrew Corum (201-F-1997) of Club Deportes Puerto Varas (#4). Corum scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Puerto Varas, leading his team to a 80-75 win against the lower-ranked Puente Alto (#7, 13-16). Puerto Varas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 10 lost games. Corum has a great season in Chile. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.6rpg (4th best). He also has a FGP of 59.5% and 3PT: 41.5%.
