LNB2 Round 3 (Regular Season): Luis Matte hands first loss to Stadio Italiano

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Stadio Italiano (2-1) in Santiago on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by Luis Matte (2-1) 86-74. It was a good game for Venezuelan forward Luis Adrian (-1998) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Power forward Boris Guerra (-1987) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Forward Gabriel Gonzalez (-2001) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for Stadio Italiano. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Santiago: Boston College (#1) and Brisas (#5). Boston College (3-1) crushed visiting Brisas (0-3) by 34 points 92-58. It was a great evening for Antone Robinson who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. Lucas Marquez helped adding 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Eduardo Gonzalez (-1997) with 20 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
Very important is a road loss of Illaplel (2-1) against Arabe de Valp. (2-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Illaplel was defeated by Arabe de Valp. in Valparaiso 69-58. It was an exceptional evening for Jeremiah Toney who led the winners and scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Matias Sepulveda came up with 16 points for Illaplel in the defeat.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Aleman beat Huachipato on the road 86-71. Truenos won against Municipal C. on its own court 77-59. Quilpue managed to outperform Arturo Prat in a road game 89-74. Temuco lost to undefeated Omega at home 64-72. Constitucion defeated Tinguiririca on the opponent's court 71-56. Liceo Curico smashed Tinguiririca in a home game 96-56.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 19 points and 6 rebounds by Claudio Lavin of Liceo Curico.

Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Quilpue made 7 blocks.
