Morrison's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

35-year old center Ziomara Morrison (194-C-1989) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked CD Esc. Alemana Paillaco and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had a double-double of 28 points and 18 rebounds, while her team outclassed Univ. Austral (#5, 1-5) with 27-point margin 91-64. Alemana maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Chilean LNF. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Alemana will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Morrison had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Alemana, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ziomara Morrison averages just after three games 17.7ppg and 15.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Daniela Dublo (184-PF-1988). She is Italian-Argentinian forward in her first season at Alemana P.. In the last game Dublo recorded an impressive double-double of 18 points and 22 rebounds. Of course together with Morrison she helped CD Esc. Alemana Paillaco with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Univ. Austral (#5, 1-5) 91-64. Alemana's second position in Zona Sur has not changed. Her team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Dublo is a newcomer at Alemana and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Akilah Bethel (183-F-1993) of Colegio Los Leones Quilpe (#3). Bethel showcased her all-around game by recording 25 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Los Leones, leading her team to a 103-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Brisas (#6, 1-7). Los Leones needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Zona Centro. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Bethel has a very solid season. In 3 games in Chile she scored 21.0ppg.
