Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game of round 10 was a home defeat of 4th ranked The Sharks (3-5) to third ranked Quilpue (4-4) 69-59 in the game for the third place. Quilpue forced 26 The Sharks turnovers. Jose Toledo (-2002) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Sebastian Jara (177-1983) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Ignacio Villarroel (-2003) responded with 17 points. Quilpue maintains third position with 4-4 record having just two points less than leader Truenos, which they share with Stadio Italiano. The Sharks at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Santiago: Stadio Italiano (#3) and Brisas (#5). Stadio Italiano (4-4) won against visiting Brisas (1-7) 63-55. The former international Ramiro Galvez (-1996) notched 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Gabriel Gonzalez supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even 17 points by Sebastian Villarroel did not help to save the game for Brisas. Brisas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stadio Italiano maintains third position with 4-4 record having just two points less than leader Truenos, which they share with Quilpue. Brisas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Tinguiririca and Huachipato.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Illaplel (5-3) against fifth ranked Arturo Prat (2-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Illaplel was crushed by Arturo Prat in San Felipe 89-70. Agustin Villalon fired a double-double by scoring 49 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 9 steals for the winners. Martin Brito produced 17 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arturo Prat moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Illaplel keeps the second position with three games lost.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 10: Luis Matte won against Sergio Ceppi on the opponent's court 64-58. Truenos managed to outperform Constitucion in a home game 81-68. Aleman managed to beat Temuco on the road 90-79. Puerto Montt crushed Omega on its own court 95-70.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Leyder Moreno of Puerto Montt.



Sergio Ceppi - Luis Matte 58-64

Rather expected game in Santiago where 4th ranked Sergio Ceppi (2-6) was defeated by second ranked Luis Matte (6-2) 64-58 on Sunday. Luis Matte made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Sergio Ceppi turnovers. Strangely Sergio Ceppi outrebounded Luis Matte 51-38 including a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Camilo Sanchez (-1998) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Boris Guerra (-1987) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Luis Matte players scored in double figures. Forward Edward Tussomba (-2000) produced 7 points and 19 rebounds and the former international forward Fabian Aguilera (-1995) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Sergio Ceppi's coach Matias Vergara tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Luis Matte have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Arabe de Valp. Loser Sergio Ceppi keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.

Rather predictable result in Talca where top-ranked Truenos (8-0) defeated 4th ranked Constitucion (2-6) 81-68 on Saturday. Truenos dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Constitucion's 32. Truenos had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Nick Morales (187-1985) fired 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Alessandro Morales (-1998) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Brazilian power forward Enrico De Paula (205-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Matias Iturra (-2005) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Truenos have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Constitucion lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
