42 points scored by 24 year old Ecuadorian power forward David Aparicio (C/F-2001) gave him the award of highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team Omega lost to the Aleman 67 to 72. He also grabbed 13 rebounds that game. Aparicio is the 5th best scorer in the league averaging over 19 points and 9 rebounds per game. The best players in the league are US college alumni. Just on the list of the top 10 best scorers we have 1 out of 10 players, who had college careers.
He has played previously professionally in Ecuador (Barcelona, Caballeros, Santa Maria, Olimpia and Rincon de Castilla Babahoyo).
His team made it to the Liga Basquet Pro Semifinals in 2024.
