Puerto Montt dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Municipal C.'s 22. Puerto Montt forced 20 Municipal C. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Colombian forward Leyder Moreno (195-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and international Fabian Martinez (194-2000) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds. Five Puerto Montt players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Esteban Vasquez (-2003) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Patricio Penaloza (-2000) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Antone Robinson stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Lucas Marquez (196-2003) chipped in 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Boston College's coach Benjamin Gasc used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Henry Lourdener (-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Brazilian center Pedro Leopoldino (206-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Five Boston College and four Illaplel players scored in double figures.

Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian Lucas Mohnen (200-2001) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 15 rebounds. Francisco Saravia (-2008) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Forward Martin Morales (-2002) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and forward Alessandro Morales (-1998) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Truenos. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
