Vergara comes back to Valdivia

Club Deportivo Valdivia (LNB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 30-year-old Spanish 196cm shooting guard Alejandro Vergara. It is actually his comeback to Valdivia as he has played here before. He is not a newcomer in the Chilean League, where he played most recently at Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud (LNB). In 23 games, he recorded 9.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.7apg, and 1.4spg last season, helping them to win the cup. The previous (2023-24) season, he played at another Chilean team, CD Universidad de Concepcion. Vergara also played 34 games in LNB, where he averaged 8.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.9apg, and 1.3spg that year, contributing to his team winning the Supercup and making it to the league semifinals.
Vergara is a very experienced player. He has played in Germany (Grevenbroich), Spain (Marbella, Moron, Novaschool, and Unicaja), Chile (Puerto Varas, Aleman, Las Animas, and CD Espanol Osorno), and Germany.
Vergara won the Chilean Liga Nacional championship title in 2018. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Honorable Mention in 2023.
