Maxwell's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old American forward Stephen Maxwell (201-F-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for CD Universidad de Concepcion and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Ancud (#6, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 84-75. Thanks to this victory Univ.Concepcion moved-up to the 3rd position in Chilean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Univ.Concepcion will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. It's Maxwell's second year at Univ.Concepcion and it's hard to imagine this team without him. California State University Northridge graduate has very impressive stats this year. Maxwell is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 53.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jeremy McLaughlin (203-PF-1995, agency: Interperformances) of Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud. He is American forward in his first season at Ancud. In the last game McLaughlin recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Ancud lost that game 75-84 to Univ.Concepcion (3-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. McLaughlin is a newcomer at Ancud and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Pedro Leopoldino (206-C-1998) of CD Universidad Catolica de Santiago (#3). Leopoldino scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Univ.Catolica, leading his team to a 87-62 easy win against Espanol T. (#5, 1-3). Univ.Catolica needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Centro. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Leopoldino has a great season in Chile. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.0rpg (5th best).
