Rakim Brown claims Chilean LNB weekly honour

Experienced American Rakim Brown (198-SF-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Deportes Puente Alto and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old had the game-high 28 points adding five rebounds for Puente Alto in his team's victory, helping them to beat Boston College (#6, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 70-55. Puente Alto maintains the 4th position in their group in the Chilean LNB. Puente Alto is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Puente Alto's top player in his first season with the team. Humboldt State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is in league's top in points (7th best: 17.5ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international guard Barham Amor (185-G-1996) of CD Espanol Osorno. Amor impressed basketball fans with 39 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Espanol to edge the higher-ranked Valdivia (3-3) by 4 points 85-81. Espanol's 5th position in Sur has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Amor is well-known by Espanol fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Stephen Maxwell (201-F-1993) of top-ranked CD Universidad de Concepcion. Maxwell scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Univ.Concepcion, leading his team to a 84-76 win against #3 ranked Las Animas in a game of the week. Univ.Concepcion confirms their top position in Sur. Maxwell has a great season in Chile. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.2ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 10.8rpg (#1 in league).
