Maxwell's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

32-year old American forward Stephen Maxwell (201-F-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team CD Universidad de Concepcion and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Valdivia (#2, 3-3) 94-89. It allowed Univ.Concepcion to consolidate first place in the Chilean league. Univ.Concepcion have a solid 5-1 record. It's Maxwell's second year at Univ.Concepcion and it's hard to imagine this team without him. California State University Northridge graduate has very impressive stats this year. Maxwell is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.2ppg) and averages solid 61.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Lenell Henry (203-PF-1998) of league's second-best Club Deportivo Valdivia. He is American forward in his first season at Valdivia. In the last game Henry recorded an impressive 37 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Valdivia lost that game 89-94 to slightly higher-ranked Univ.Concepcion (#1, 5-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Sur. Valdivia still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Henry is a newcomer at Valdivia and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.2ppg (#1). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Tristan Harper (198-F-2000) of CD Universidad Catolica de Santiago (#3). Harper showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Univ.Catolica, leading his team to a 87-63 easy win against Boston College (#6, 0-6). Univ.Catolica needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Centro. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Harper has a great season in Chile. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.5ppg (3rd best).
