Chilean LNF round 5 best performance: Leah Scott (by Hoops Agents)

American Power forward Leah Scott (183-PF-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked CD Universitario Concepcion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Alemana P. (#4, 0-2) with 39-point margin 87-48. It allowed Univ.Concepcion to consolidate first place in the Chilean LNF. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Univ.Concepcion already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Scott turned to be Univ.Concepcion's top player in her first season with the team. Former Marshall University star has very solid stats this year. Scott is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.3ppg), rebounds (4th best: 10.0rpg) and averages impressive 2.5spg and 65.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Kaye Clark (170-G-2000) of league's leader Sportiva Italiana Valparaiso. Clark had a very good evening with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Sportiva Ita. to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Sergio Ceppi (#5, 1-5) 76-55. This victory allowed Sportiva Ita. to move up to 1st position in Zona Centro. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Clark is a newcomer at Sportiva Ita., but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.8ppg (#9). She also registered 5.6 boards per game. Former Old Dominion University star Clark is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Kyaja Williams (180-F-1998) of league's second-best Colegio Los Leones Quilpe. Williams scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was a key player of Los Leones, leading her team to a 92-30 easy win against Brisas (#6, 0-6). Los Leones is closer and closer to top of the standings in Zona Centro. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Williams has a great season in Chile. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.8rpg (7th best).
