Gaddy's 28 points and 7 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

24-year old American forward Kiandre Gaddy (198-F-2001, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Colegio Los Leones de Quilpue and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds for Los Leones in his team's victory, helping them to beat Univ.Catolica (#2, 6-4) 78-69. It allowed Los Leones to consolidate first place in the Chilean league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Los Leones keeps a perfect 10-0 record. In the team's last game Gaddy had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Los Leones' top player in his first season with the team. Tarleton State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Gaddy is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.6ppg), rebounds (6th best: 8.4rpg) and averages solid 1.9bpg and 59.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jonnivius Smith (206-C-2001) of Club Deportes Puente Alto. He is American center in his first season at Puente Alto. In the last game Smith recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 21 rebounds. Of course Puente Alto cruised to a 75-68 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Univ.Catolica (#2, 6-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Centro. Puente Alto consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team's 5-5 record is not bad at all. Smith is a newcomer at Puente Alto and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Stephen Maxwell (201-F-1993) of league's leader CD Universidad de Concepcion. Maxwell scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Maxwell's great performance the Univ.Concepcion lost 74-82 to #3 ranked Espanol O.. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Univ.Concepcion needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Sur. Their record is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Maxwell has a great season in Chile. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.6ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 10.7rpg (2nd best).
