The Regular Season in LNB just ended. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
There was a change at the LNB leadership position after last games. Round 10 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Univ.Concepcion (6-4). They were defeated by fourth ranked Las Animas (5-5) 86-80 on Sunday night. Las Animas had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Las Animas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Roquez Johnson (201-1992, college: MSU, agency: BIG) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Stephen Maxwell (201-1993, college: CSUN) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Las Animas moved-up to third place, which they share with Colo Colo and Puente Alto. Univ.Concepcion lost third consecutive game. Defending champion still keeps top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Los Leones who have the same record.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Valdivia as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Univ.Concepcion) loss. Valdivia defeated 6th ranked Puerto Varas at home 76-72. American Lenell Henry (203-1998, college: Alcorn St.) notched 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Guido Mariani supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by the former international guard Marcelo Perez (196-1999, college: Southern Miss) did not help to save the game for Puerto Varas. Valdivia have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Puerto Varas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with six games lost.
A very close game took place in Santiago between Puente Alto and Boston College. Fourth ranked Puente Alto (5-5) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked Boston College (1-9). Puente Alto managed to escape with a 3-point win 77-74 on Saturday evening. Jonnivius Smith fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. TJ Robinson produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Puente Alto have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Colo Colo and Las Animas. Boston College lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with nine games lost.
In the last two games of round 10 Colo Colo lost to Espanol on the opponent's court 64-78. Puerto Varas managed to outperform Ancud in a home game 90-75.
