Kyaja Williams claims Chilean LNF Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Kyaja Williams (180-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Colegio Los Leones Quilpe and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and 16 rebounds, while her team beat Gimnastico (#4, 2-5) 75-64. It allowed Los Leones to jump to the first place in the Chilean LNF. Los Leones have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. She turned to be Los Leones' top player in her first season with the team. Bowie State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.8ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.2rpg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 53.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Pia Henriquez (190-F-2003) of Club Sergio Ceppi Santiago. Henriquez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Sergio Ceppi to another comfortable win outscoring Brisas (#6, 0-7) 76-31. Sergio Ceppi's 5th position in Zona Centro has not changed. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Sergio Ceppi managed to get this year. Henriquez is one of the most experienced players at Sergio Ceppi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Kaye Clark (170-G-2000) of Sportiva Italiana Valparaiso (#3). Clark showcased her all-around game by recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Clark's great performance the Sportiva Ita. lost 64-74 to #2 ranked Puente Alto. But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Sportiva Ita. had another "accident". It may be a crucial game. Clark's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Clark has a great season in Chile. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (7th best). Clark attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.
